This Harken cam-matic cleat engauges and releases easily, they hold securely and work with a wide variety of line types and sizes. The cam teeth are smooth to protect line. Multiple rows of UV-stabilized, Delrin ball bearings provide minimal friction for easy line engaugement and release, even under higher loads. A fairlead allows the cleat to be used when the lines enter or leave the cam at unfair angles. Fairleads can be made of fiber reinforced plastic and or stainless steel.
