This Harken Single Carbo Ratchamatic Block rolls freely in both directions under light loads then automatically engauges a ratchet mechanism under higher loads. This gives the sailor a 10:1 increase in holding power. This block has a safe working load of 500lbs and can take up to 3/8" line. The sheave diameter is 2-1/4"
